Portraits of Morningstar employees are to be used only in a professional capacity and must adhere to a global standard. Standard portrait headshots are taken in a studio with a white background and studio lighting to highlight the subject’s personality instead of their environment.

Executive portraits are taken in a Morningstar office or in the subject’s environment to capture their personalities and add depth to their stories. Executive portraits are for use on Morningstar web properties and for editorial purposes. Members of the executive team and board of directors and senior leaders are eligible for this photography treatment.

If you are based in Chicago, you may request a portrait in the quarterly scheduled shoots. If you are outside Chicago and are working with an approved photographer, please refer to the portrait guidelines (.pdf) for guidance.
