Morningstar Low Carbon Designation
The Morningstar Low Carbon Designation helps investors determine whether a fund’s holdings align with low-carbon objectives and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Funds that receive the Low Carbon Designation have aggregate portfolio holdings with low carbon risk and low exposure to fossil fuels, using Morningstar Sustainalytics metrics.
The Morningstar Low Carbon Designation may be displayed on its own.
The Low Carbon Designation may be displayed in tables or other data visualizations.
Don’t use the designation in stock or fund headers.
For standalone applications and higher-resolution displays, apply green (#518428) to the Low Carbon Designation. Apply gray (#CCCCCC) to the No Designation status.
For tabular applications and lower-resolution displays, apply Neutral 100 (Black) the Low Carbon Designation. No Designation remains gray (#CCCCCC).
Recommended minimum clear space around the rating
The rating’s cap height should match the cap height of surrounding inline text. The minimum inline space is equal to a third of the cap height.
Don’t rearrange the order of the artwork and text.
Don’t remove the circular enclosure from the artwork or modify it in any way.
Don’t apply drop shadows, gradients, or other decorative treatments to the Low Carbon Designation.
Do write out the designation name in text.
Don't use the designation artwork in place of text.
